Beechhurst is a neighborhood in Queens. It is northeast of Whitestone, bordered by the East River, north of the Cross Island Parkway and between the approaches to the Throgs Neck and Whitestone bridges, and also bordered by the west-most section of Long Island Sound.
Beechhurst is an affluent area but parts of the neighborhood (such as along 150th and 154th streets) have a more diverse mix of housing. Beechhurst is part of the 109th police precinct and is part of Queens Community Board 7. The Q15 via 150th street to Beechhurst provides access to and from the Flushing-Main Street station on the IRT Flushing Line. The QM2 bus provide express bus service to Manhattan.
During the Silent Movie era, Beechhurst was a favorite vacation area for the rich and famous. Estates lined the waterfront, including those of industrialist Harvey Firestone and entertainment impresario Arthur Hammerstein. The Beechhurst Towers hotel (now a co-op apartment building) was a favorite of actress Mary Pickford and was frequented by many Broadway and early movie stars, including the Marx Brothers and W.C. Fields.
Charlie and Amy were fantastic throughout this entire process. Warm yet professional, the open house and the sale went very smoothly. They were informative and basically explained the entire process from start to finish. Highly recommend them!!!!
Amy and Charley are very supportive throughout the whole process. They will answer all your questions. They practically hold your hand through it all. They told us not to waste time or money on painting. Our house sold in a month.
Charlie and Amy were fantastic! Their open houses drew hundreds of prospective buyers, and the house sold in three weeks for more than the asking price. Charlie and Amy were not only knowledgeable and professional, but they really took the time to explain their process and were always available to answer any questions we had. We have bought and sold homes before, but never as quickly and easily as Charlie and Amy were able to. I would absolutely use their services again and would recommend them to anyone looking to sell their home.
